With the closure of schools countrywide; the regional publisher Longhorn Kenya has availed its online curriculum platform to enable kids across the country to keep up with studies.

The platform incorporates classes for students from Grade one to Form four. They will cover the 8-4-4 system and the new competency-based curriculum. All this at no cost.

So how do you access this?  “Learners with both smartphones and feature phones will access the learning materials either on the internet or by dialing our USSD code *864#,” said the Longhorn CEO Maxwell Wahome.

Available Electronic materials include interactive Competency-Based Curriculum (CBC) materials, comprehensive notes, questions and examination guides for all classes and forms. Follow this link to access the portal

You can also download the Longhorn eLearning App from the Google Play Store to enjoy good eLearning materials. Going a step further, you can watch videos on YouTube if videos are what you prefer. Subscribe to their channel to get updates whenever a new video is uploaded.

They have partnered with Airtel to provide free access to the platform. Although it would be free to use the platform over the Airtel network, you still need to subscribe to access the content on Longhorn’s e-learning platform. Students can either for a monthly subscription, per term subscription, or a yearly subscription and it is fairly priced. There is also a section where schools can pay for each of their students to access the content available.
